Travel with cn-reader:The Marvelous Scenery of Tibet
In 2012, I didn't know that Yang Liusong yet, the famous traveler and writer. He sent a post named Chang Tang Super Westland, which was popular on the internet. At that time, the TV drama of Beijing Youth, which encourages young people to resign to go to Tibet, has not yet been shown on the screen. In those days, I held the idea of "This is not my life at all" in my heart, and stubbornly resigned from the top 500 enterprises. As soon as I finished my departure, I set off on the train to Chengdu. For 36 hours, the electricity power for cellphone was precious, while power bank was not so popular.
I traveled by train, from one place to another: Hangzhou - Chengdu - Kunming - Dali - Lijiang - Shangri-La. I still remember a night in Shangri-La, a group of young people of the same age crowded in front of the television , drinking and watching the football game. I went into the courtyard and talked with them. Until then, I happened to know there's a group of people called "Tour Pal". The next day, I sent my personal clothes back by express delivery, and then purchased some equipment like stormtrooper pants and hiking shoes in the local area.
According to the plan, we would set out every day when the sun rises, and walk until the sun sets. We walked 20-30 kilometers, with more than 30 kilograms' package on our back. Physical exhaustion coupled with altitude sickness makes us feel deeply that we are alive and want to be alive. The love and hate doesn't bothers you any more, and you'll put everything down. Every breath is important, and how to overcome the headache caused by altitude sickness is even more important.
We walked along the national highway 318, and most of the places are separated from people, except for some small cities. The sky was especially blue, and the white clouds became the link between the blue sky and the mountains. The mountains are covered with lush primeval forests and below is the surging Jinsha River. Along the way, apart from other hikers and bikers, there are occasional local people in oxcarts and religious pilgrims.
Here, you really understand the meaning of the word "Empty" : not only the opening of space, but also the psychological permeability.
We came to a place called Yubeng, which is not far from the Fei Lai Temple. Here, all the supplies are carried in by mules, horses and men. With the opening of airport, Mo Tuo, which is known as the Lotus Halidom, was no longer out of reach. Yubeng became a new popular destination for outdoor travelers.
Yubeng Village, is a magical and beautiful place. Due to its unique geographical environment, there are only about 20 families in the village. As a consequence, some people trust it is "An Imaginary Ideal World" in the article of Tao Yuanming.
Since ancient times, there has been only one horse pass road to the outside world. People have to walk or ride mules, and go through the 3700 meter's high pass. Among them, there're 12 kilometers uphill and 6 kilometers downhill. Yubeng village is divided into upper village and down village.
The Golden Peak, the main peak of Meili Snow Mountain, is seldom be seen by people . After all, there's no more than 120 days within a year can see it. The landlady of where I live said that there's a Japanese guest who had stayed in Yubeng for more than 30 days. She wanted to see the whole landscape of the mountain but never got what she wanted.
In winter, the temperature is low and snow may fall. However, the climate is stable and the probability of seeing this marvelous spectacle is relatively high. On the contrary, though the summer temperature is appropriate, there'll be more rain. For that reason, the probability of seeing the golden mountain will be lower. I arrived at the end of June. In summer, I could be able to see the marvelous spectacle makes me happy like a child.
In Tibetan areas, I always get up at 5 or 6 o 'clock every day and climb the roof of the homestay. As the sun rises, the quiet streets below are gradually filled with bustling people, and there is an intuitive feeling from "Empty" to "Full".
Maybe every time you leave a place of your life, it's an escape.
