Brief Introduction to China
China is a multi-ethnic country with Chinese civilization as its source and Chinese culture as its foundation, and the Han nationality as its main ethnic group. It is commonly used in Chinese and Chinese characters. The Han and minority nationalities are collectively referred to as the "Chinese nation", and they also call themselves descendants of Yanhuang descendants and dragons.
China is one of the four ancient civilizations in the world. It has a long history. About 5000 years ago, settlement organizations began to emerge around the Central Plains and then formed a country. After many ethnic blends and dynastic changes, China finally formed a unified multi-ethnic state. After the Revolution of 1911 in the early 20th century, the monarchy withdrew from the stage of history. After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, the People's Congress system was established in the mainland of China.
China has a vast territory and a large number of nationalities. During the pre-Qin period, the Chinese people multiplied and thrived in the Central Plains. By the Han Dynasty, the Han people were formally formed through cultural blending, which laid the foundation of the main ethnic group in China. Later, by blending with the surrounding nationalities, a unified multi-ethnic country was gradually formed, and the population continued to rise. In the Song Dynasty, China's population exceeded 100 million, in the Qing Dynasty, it exceeded 400 million, and by 2017, China's population had reached 1.39 billion.
Chinese culture has a long history, profound and colorful history. It is the cultural patriarchal country of East Asian cultural circle and occupies an important position in the world cultural system. Because of the differences in geographical position and natural conditions, the humanities and economy have their own characteristics. Traditional cultural and artistic forms include poems, operas, calligraphy and traditional Chinese paintings, while Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Qingming, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and Chongyang Festival are important traditional festivals in China.
