Here are some snapshots of my life in travel, sustainable living, and yoga. Have a great day!
Taken in the Bay Area
It was succulent propagation day today! I've become newly obsessed with succulents and how they can propagate through cuttings and leaves. I was at my friend's home the other day and saw these beautiful succulents growing abundantly in the yard. I asked her if I could take a few to propagate and here we are :-)
Taken in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile
Dancer pose (natarajasana) is easily one of my favorite yoga poses, probably because I'm also a dancer and this pose just feels good! It always helps me to balance if I remind myself to kick back with my raised foot and reach forward with my opposite arm. As long as I am kicking back and reaching forward with equal strength then I have an easy time balancing.
Taken in Alleppey, India
I was on the ferry traveling from Alleppey to Kottayam while listening to the audiobook "Braiding Sweetgrass". The ferry ride was two hours of slow bliss through the backwaters. Right after taking this photo I heard the author, Robin Wall Kimmerer's, voice in my headphones saying: “Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate. But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond.” I was definitely feeling loved by the earth while swaying in the ferry, listening to the birds and splashes of water, and being surrounded by the soft faces of strangers who call this place home.
