有时候，人们就是有着在自己生活中轻易可以去到、还是经历到的东西或事件，越是可能从没去过，就好像这个吉隆坡安邦九皇爷庆典。
Sometimes, people tends to skip things or festive that is close to place where we stay. For instance, to me is this KL Ampang Nine Emperor God Festival

 

以前每年在这个时候（农历九月初一至九），报章都会报道这在吉隆坡雪兰莪一带、数一数二大规模的九皇爷庆典，但是身为吉隆坡人的@auleo 就是从来没到现场看过，老觉得今年不去就明年去好了，结果就从未去过。

Every year during this period (9th lunar month first day to 9th day), the press article will talk about this festival which is the biggest in KlangValley area, but too bad, as KL Lang myself but never ever went to this festival, always thought if not going this year, still have chance the following years.
 

这一次回到吉隆坡，想在自己家乡重新探索，就刚好碰上了这九皇爷庆典，立马决定今年不能再错过了。
This time round, when I back to KL and happen to have this festival, I decided not to miss it anymore but experience how the ambience is.

 

知道安邦九皇爷庆典很盛大，加上是个周末，我们老早就决定了停车在挺远的地方，然后走到现场。
Knowing Ampang Nine Emperor God Festival is the most grand of its kind along with a weekend, we decided to park our car quite a distance away, and walk to the temple.

 

抵达现场，就是这个歌台，唱着的是闽南歌曲，有点意外，难道安邦新村这里是闽南人较多？一如我在新加坡看的闽南歌台，唱的歌词是十之八九不明白，可我们发现在表演台有个老外不断用单眼拍摄，看来这洋人很欣赏本土文化呢！

As soon as reach to the festival area, there is this stage performing the Hokkien drama, I'm a bit surprised as I didn't notice Ampang is a village of many Hokkiens. Same as those Hokkien dramas I watched in Singapore , I didn't understand at all the drama but I did observe there's a foreigner having his DSLR keep taking the drama and he seems enjoy a lot of local cultural show.

 

歌台一旁就是美食街，好像都是卖素食的，因为九皇爷庆典，信徒们都是茹素9天的。
Beside the stage is the food street, and I think all are selling vegetarian food, as during this 9 days period, devotees are supposed to take only vegetarian meals .

 

超大型的龙香，供虔诚的信徒供养给九皇爷，
Super sized dragon joss for devotees to give to Nine Emperor God.

 

买了龙香，商家就会在前面的集中点替顾客点龙香，就是广告牌上的“包点”的意思了，不是在卖包的。
After purchase the dragon joss, vendor will help customers to light on in a centralised area.
 

还有很多摊贩卖的供神品，看起来都好精致。
Many stalls selling attractive gifts to the god.

 

安邦南天宫这里的善信实在是太多人了，香插在炉中不一会儿，就会被取走，以便让位给后来者。
Ampang temple was having too many devotees came and pay respect during this period, as such joss will be removed shortly after putting, to give way for others.

 

顶着熏得眼泪直流的一片浓香，跟着信徒一起进入庙内一探究竟-- 里面满是信徒排队等候上香给九皇爷。
The temple area was full of joss atmosphere, but I also decided to follow devotees to enter the temple to have closer look the inner side.

 

好不容易找到一个不多人的角落，可以停下脚步看看庙内的盛况，也顺便拍摄。
Luckily there's a corner with less people, I can stop and take a look in the temple and take photo.

 

但庙内人潮就是不断增加，自己也不好意思逗留太久只是拍照，就快快让位给其他人入庙内了。（视频迟些上传到Dtube跟大家分享)
But the later it is, the more devotees came in temple to pay respect, so I'd better leave to give way for others for religious ritual.
 

 

这几天都不知怎么的，每天傍晚或晚上下雨，我们车子停得较远，只好走马看花、快手快脚跑回车里。
Recently it always rain in the evening or at night, and due to our car parked quite a distance away, we decided to leave after seeing the main attraction here.
 

第一次见识自己城市里的庙宇盛会，涨见闻了，以后有机会还会到来参与。
It's the first time I came for temple festival in the city I grown up and it's indeed an eye-opening one. If you happen to visit KL this period, do visit the temple for the festival.
