The cloud morning glory (in Spanish, "cloud of morning glory" or sometimes "creeper cloud") is a rare meteorological phenomenon that can be observed in September and October south of the gulf of Carpentaria in the northern part of Australia.

A morning glory cloud is a roll-shaped cloud that can reach up to 1000 km in length, 1 to 2 km in height and can travel at speeds up to 60 km / h. Morning glory is often accompanied by sudden bursts of wind and intense low-level shears, a rapid increase in the vertical displacement of air parcels and a strong pressure that surfaces.

In the front of the cloud there are strong vertical movements that transport the air through the cloud and create the roll appearance, while the air in the middle and posterior part of the cloud becomes turbulent and sinks. The cloud can also be described as a solitary wave or soliton, which is a wave that has a single crest and moves without changing its velocity or shape.
