Volumes like Sandpaper
I think I'm going to try doing a few short posts "Instagram" style, with a longer post every 2 or 3 days. So to start things off:
Sandpapery volumes:
I was climbing at the gym yesterday (Monday), working on another ARC session, when at the end of it I decided to have a little bouldering photoshoot. I set my phone against my chalk bag, put on a timer and burst mode, and jumped onto a couple problems.
Here's a shot of me trying to get through a tricky V3 volume problem. (Volumes are the big black triangles, that add extra VOLUME to the wall). These baby's are either brand new, or were just cleaned, because they felt like a really large grit sandpaper. I fell off this thing twice in a "sliding" or "grasping" fashion -- I felt my skin heat up SO quickly I thought I got a blister. Someone's going to ruin their skin on these things.
You are amazing brother......
Right back atcha -- probably.

Climbing is so fun, but also hard....good on ya!
Thanks, friend. You do any climbing?
Yea man, haven't been for a few months and my grip strength is a bit meh at the moment, but still love it. How are you liking Vancouver Is btw? Was just there and was thinking it would be a really lovely place to live
