Big Bad Wolf, 220 foot, 3 pitch, 5.9 Sport Route

Big Bad Wolf, not so bad after all. In the heat and heart of Calico Basin, high up on the Riding Hood Wall, easy to see, not so easy to get to scrambling boulders, sits the three (4) pitch sport route. Bolts along the way make this poetic climb fluid with a couple moments of hesitation, but no shit your pants type situations.

While Red Rock Nevada might not be the Holy-Holy Lands of climbing like Yosemite, it is definitely a Mecca Paradise and a must bucket list destination for climbers. I did not know I would become so enthralled with the desert. A return visit is scheming in my mind, along with a long list of climbs.
