Earth's Climate in the Far-Future

The Earth will Eventually be Uninhabitable or Destroyed

Eventually is the key word because no one knows exactly when that is or how it will happen. I think it is important to talk about climate science through this lens. It's reasonable to debate about climate change if you assume that Earth won't be destroyed or become uninhabitable in the short term from nuclear warfare, an artificial intelligence uprising, a supervolcano eruption, an extreme solar flare, an impact event, and a gamma-ray burst . If we somehow avoid all of these events the Sun's luminosity will increase to the extent where Earth won't be able to sustain a reasonable climate for humans. However we have millions of years to prepare to leave to Mars and Saturn's moons if we can manage our climate system in the upcoming years.

The Debate

No matter what your ideological/political views are we can agree upon everything written up until "if we can manage our climate system in the upcoming years". For my following posts I will present the research that helped form my opinion. Please leave a comment if you disagree with the research I present. I'm really interested to see other perspectives on climate data especially if it is a dissenting view.
