The last 10 millenia
- If you wonder where today’s temperature fits in with the grand scheme of time on Earth since the dinosaurs were wiped out, here’s the history. We start with the whole 65 million years, then zoom in, and zoom in again to the last 12,000 from both ends of the world. What’s obvious is that in terms of homo sapiens history, things are warm now (because we’re not in an ice age). But, in terms of homo sapiens civilization, things are cooler than usual, and appear to be cooling.

Then again, since T-rex & Co. vanished, it’s been one long slide down the thermometer, and our current “record heatwave” is far cooler than normal. The dinosaurs would have scoffed at us: “What? You think this is warm?”

With so much volatility in the graphs, anyone could play “pick a trend” and depending on which dot you start from, you can get any trend you want. —

"T-rex & co." I like that. Sounds like a rad clothing store at the mall. I seem to recall Al Gore's movie predicting that Florida would be totally underwater by 2017. Talk about inconvenient truth.
It's all really about mental illness, specifically something called Narcissistic Personality Disorder. But then again, I guess when a person does not believe in God, then they must believe that man is able to control everything that happens on the planet. Kinda of reminds me of the people in ancient times who did not understand that the earth revolves around the sun, causing day and night. Or the people that did animal and human sacrifices during eclipses because they thought that someone was angry at them and they had to do it to make the sun turn back on. We now see these practices as completely stteped in ignorance and maybe in another thousand years, people will look back and see how stupid modern day "climatologists" are to think they are controlling climate changes and weather patterns.
I don't know enough about the details of climate change.
I DO know enough to know that if governments are promoting something, it has nothing to with the well being of anyone-except themselves.
It is invariably bad for everyone else.
Does anyone ever think of global cooling being affected by, you know, the globe, cooling down?
It's a one way street. - It ain't increasing its temperatures.

(Cooling) molten iron temps don't increase, with time...
But it seems a bit weird for that it's not to be taken into consideration...
Maybe a time thing, and not relevant to a hundred million years or so..

No shortage of incompetence from the media, imho
But there seems to be plenty of apparent malice going around too.
I like the staying on the sunny side approach, that be best I reckon.
