Clean Your House Daily For a Clean Head

The house you live in has an important place in your life. 


You should feel safe, comfortable and relaxed at home. You can be completely yourself there. If you come back to a dirty house all the time you will have to deal with some negative influence.

Make it a daily habit to clean up your house. If you have a clean house, you also have a clean mind.



Each day when I wake up, I get myself some coffee and check around the house. Generally, there are cups and bottles lying around, there is some leftover food from the night before and in the bathroom are the clothes from yesterday. It is not too big a mess, but if I do not clean it the same morning, the shit will pile up. 

In three days, you will be living in a mess and that is not good for your state of mind.

  1. People get less active in an dirty house. 
  2. People can get more depressed and fatigued in a cluttered house.
  3. People tend to have higher levels of stress hormone cortisol in a dirty house.
  4. People have more difficulty focussing on a particular task. The visual cortex goes overwhelmed with task-irrelevant objects.
