CPE Bach photo compilation video

This is a compilation of photos taken during our recording of the Oboe Concerti by CPE Bach in The Netherlands. The accompanying music is one of the tracks from our CD and is a light hearted (yet virtuosic) dance from an oboe concerto. In addition the church was freezing and so it was quite an effort from the players to make it sound as effortless as it sounds!

CPE Bach was the best known of the great JS Bach's many sons. He wrote at a time of transition between the Baroque style of his father and the Classical style that followed. His own style was described as the empfindsamer Stil "sensitive style), in which he applied the principles of drama and spoken rhetoric to the structures of his musical compositions.
