This week was a tricky one. Mozart was a composer whose prolific range of compositions were pretty much all great! However, we had nice entries from our members on the Discord, of which we will share with you all!

Next week's composer is Rachmaninov, who had his birthday on the 1st of April!

@cmp2020

I'm gonna go with the commendatore scene from Don Giovanni. I like this scene because of the orchestra in the background, as well as it being the climax and resolution point in the story.

@laviq

What could anyone choose from Mozart? Every composition is a masterpiece and we could very easily move towards the most reknown works of this great composer. Most of his orchestral works feel overwhelming to me lately. I searched a lot for something more relaxed, something that could possibly express Mozart's personality. I feel that he was rather fond of the wooden air instruments and particularly the flute. So, in the flute quartets I find beautiful set melodies that don't fight the orchestra but rather go along nicely with the strings. Here is a very good performance of Mozart's flute quartet in D with instruments of his era!

@morodiene

Soave sia il vento from Cosi fan Tutte. The video is cheesy but the singing is great! I think this trio epitomizes the Classical sentiment of beauty in clarity and simplicity. It's not simple to sing, however!

@bengy

The last movement of the Jupiter Symphony is just pure joy. Nothing more to be said!

@wilfredn

Mozart's Sinfonia concertante in E Flat! Nice to see that Mozart didn't forget about the viola! This was the first piece featuring a solo viola that I heard performed live and inspired me to double down on learning the viola.
