Square after the rain. / Площадь после дождя. #cityscapephotography

This is the place Louis-Lépine in the Paris in the evening in May 2006, after a little rain. In this square is the famous flower market. But we were on Monday, when the market does not work. We just walked along the island of Cite.
But we considered what beautiful lanterns there are, "braided" with golden long-stemmed. If the market at that time worked, of course, all our attention would be on him.
In the background is the famous chapel of Saint-Chapelle with a pointed spire.
Louis Lepin, in whose honor the square is named, was a highly respected chief of the Paris police, a fan of technological progress and inventions. He was the first to issue driver's license.

Это парижская площадь Луи Лепина вечером в мае 2006 года, после небольшого дождика. Больше всего эта площадь примечательна цветочным рынком. Но мы были в понедельник, когда рынок не работает. Просто прогуливались по острову Сите.
Зато рассмотрели, какие красивые там фонари, «оплетённые» золотистыми вьющимися стеблями. Если бы рынок в это время работал, конечно, всё наше внимание было бы на него.
На заднем плане знаменитая часовня Сен-Шапель с остроконечным шпилем.
Луи Лепин, в честь которого названа эта площадь был весьма уважаемым начальником парижской полиции, поклонником технического прогресса и изобретений. Он первым начал выдавать автомобильные права.
