Seeing off the Russian winter (Russia, the city of Oryol)

I love Shrovetide primarily for pancakes. Pancakes are not so healthy food, not daily food, but on holidays it seems to be as it should be. And I also like the last day of Shrovetide - seeing off the Russian winter.
I live in a small provincial town with the beautiful name Oryol. Traditionally, as in other cities of Russia, we see the winter off with festive events. I do not like the rite of burning "Shrovetide", he is cruel. This year, she left the venue before the event. I went to admire Shrovetide dolls, beauties, made with love by Oryol craftsmen and craftswomen.

This is the main Shrovetide to be burned in two hours, as I took this photo.

On Lenin Square, the leaders of the region congratulated the residents of the city on the holiday. Further, the initiative was taken by a wonderful dance ensemble "Slavitsa". It was a great pleasure to watch beautiful performances.

And not just city dwellers gathered around. In the foreground, closer to the "stage", the main guests of the holiday are the Maslenitsa dolls. There were so many, they are so diverse. Everything was done remarkably, it is clear that not only a lot of work was put into their creation, but also love for their creations.

I was impressed by a Pancake week doll in trousers. She is clearly visible in the photo above - a slim woman in a blue sweater, hat and braids for graduation. Wonder doll!

So I want to shoot and shoot such beauty. Not every day you see this, but only once a year.

A little further, in the city park of Orel, the older creative team impressed the people with their talent. Wow! It was nice to listen and watch.

There were many people who wanted to take a photo with this beautiful carnival among the young generation.

Like at other festivities in the park, folk art fairs were organized. One craftswoman has so many different dolls! Golden pens!

Winter was seen off as always fun and bright. The holiday coincided with the first day of spring. The weather is also spring.
