What movies to watch this weekend if you do not go to the Waha Festival

If you are not on your way to Waha Festival and you stay in Bucharest then you can "kill" your time with some movies at the cinema.

Were you wondering what life would be without the Beatles and without their music? What if you had all those hits made up? From this idea starts Danny Boyle's newest film (Slumdog millionaire, Trainspotting etc) called Yesterday, after the famous Beatles song. It's a romantic comedy you should go to, especially if you're a fan of the British band. You can find him in all cinemas in Bucharest, several hours.

Sunset or the West of László Nemes was nominated for several film festivals and won several awards. The film tells the story of young Irisz Leiter arriving in Budapest, hoping to get involved in a hat shop belonging to her late parents. A historical drama in which Romanians Vlad Ivanov also play. It is Saturday, July 13th, at 15:30 at Elvire Popesco or at Cinema City Cotroceni at 18:50 and Sunday at the same time.

Richard III is a film directed by Laurence Olivier in 1955, has an Oscar nomination, a Golden Globe Award and three BAFTA awards. Laurence Olivier is Richard III, and Clair Bloom is Lady Anne. You should see if you like Shakespearean works. It's at Eforie Cinematheque on July 13 at 13:00.

The last movie I recommend this weekend is Ma touit chez Maud, directed by Eric Rohmer. The film, which was released in 1969, received two Oscar nominations and one in Cannes. The film tells the story of Jean-Louis, an engineer who is determined to marry a young woman she met at the church, until she meets Maud, a beautiful and freshly divorced doctor. The film runs on July 14 at 19:00 at Cinematheque Eforie.
