Oscar 2018: Winner is coming - Best Leading Actress

Nell'anno dello scandalo Weinstein chi sarà la regina del Kodak Theatre 2018?

Tutti gli indicatori stagionali puntano ad un'attrice super, esperta e che negli anni ha sempre arricchito le opere a cui ha preso parte e meriterebbe davvero una ricompensa di questo tipo. Parliamo di Frances McDormand.  Vittoria non scontata ma probabilissima. 

Di seguito tutte le nomination e le mie previsioni:

• Saorsie Ronan (Lady Bird)
  • La ex bambina prodigio (Amabili resti, Hanna) è oramai, a soli 23 anni, una certezza del panorama cinematografico contemporaneo. La Ronan presta se stessa al servizio della Gerwig per un film rivelazione. Riuscirà ad insinuarsi fra le più accreditate colleghe? Io credo di no ma di certo non sarà l'ultima volta che la vedremo sul red carpet più celebre del globo.
    • Chance di vittoria 5%
• Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water)
  • Dopo una lunga gavetta l'attrice inglese recita nel ruolo della vita per il film di Del Toro che tanto è stato acclamato dalla critica quest'anno. In molti la vorrebbero vedere trionfare ma restando realisti le probabilità che questo avvenga sono pochissime.
    • Chance di vittoria 10%
• Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri)
  • Dopo tanti ruoli di nicchia ma diventati cult nell'immaginario collettivo (Fargo e Burn After Reading su tutti) e dopo aver dimostrato a tutti il suo spessore nella bellissima serie tv Olive Kitteridge, ecco che l'attrice dell'Illinois potrebbe consacrarsi con un film non diretto dai Cohen ma che dai Cohen trae ispirazione.
    • Chance di vittoria 60%
• Meryl Streep (The Post)
  • In NBA c'è un detto che recita: mai scommettere contro i San Antonio Spurs. Potremmo coniare questa frase e trasportarla ad ogni cerimonia di premiazione in cui sia presente sua maestà Meryl Streep. Parte non da favorita quest'anno ma come sempre se dovesse vincere lei saremmo tutti pronti a celebrarla. Record di nomination per lei e record di statuette ma anche se gli anni passano lei è sempre li, anno dopo anno.
    • Chance di vittoria 20%
• Margot Robbie (I, Tonya)
  • Svestiti i panni di Harley Quinn per la bella Robbie è arrivata la tanto attesa nomination. Meriterebbe senz'altro un riconoscimento, ma per quest'anno temo dovrà accontentarsi di applaudire una vincitrice diversa da lei.
    • Chance di vittoria 5%

Per la McDormand la strada è spianata, personalmente tifo per lei. Un'attrice di primissimo piano, mai abbastanza celebrata.

In the year of the Weinstein scandal, who will be the queen of the Kodak Theater 2018?

All the seasonal indicators point to a super expert actress who over the years has always enriched the works in which she took part and really deserves a reward of this kind. Let's talk about Frances McDormand. Victory not obvious but very expected.

Below my predictions and some details about the nomination:

• Saorsie Ronan (Lady Bird)
  • The former child prodigy (Amiable Rests, Hanna) is now, at only 23 years old, a star of the contemporary film scene. Ronan lends herself to Gerwig's service for a revelation film. Will she succeed against the famest colleagues? I do not think so, but certainly it will not be the last time we'll see Saorsie on the most famous red carpet of the globe.
    • Chance of victory 5%
• Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water)
  • After a long apprenticeship, the British actress plays the role of her life for Del Toro's film, which has been critically acclaimed this year. Many would like to see her triumph but remaining realistic the chances of this will happen are very few.
    • Chance of victory 10%
• Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri)
  • After many cult roles (Fargo and Burn After Reading above all) and after having shown to everyone her talent in the beautiful TV series Olive Kitteridge, here is that the actress of Illinois could consecrate with a film not directed by Cohen but inspired by Cohen Filmography and pohetic.
    • Chance of victory 60%
• Meryl Streep (The Post)
  • In NBA there is a saying: never bet against the San Antonio Spurs. We could coin this phrase and transport it to every award ceremony where Miss Meryl Streep is present. Not the principal candidate this year but as always if she will win she would be all ready to celebrate it. Record of nominations for her and record of statuettes but even if the years pass asway she is always there, year after year.
    • Chance of victory 20%
• Margot Robbie (I, Tonya)
  • Undressed the role of Harley Quinn for the beautiful Robbie came the long-awaited nomination. It would certainly deserve recognition, but for this year I will have to be content to applaud a winner different from her.
    • Chance of victory 5%

For McDormand the road is leveled, personally I vote for her. An actress of the highest level, never quite celebrated.
