A Brief Cigar Review – Tatuaje The "Whore"steemCreated with Sketch.

Tatuaje consistently rolls out high quality cigars, the "W" is a sexy looking cigar with a catchy name.  It is a shop exclusive for Nice Ash Cigars, a retailer with stores in Depew, New York and Warren, Pennsylvania.  The “W” is derived from the name “Whore”. This stems from an inside joke between Tatuaje Cigar owner Pete Johnson, and Rob Rot of Nice Ash Cigars.

I prefer a punch cut on my cigars, the exception being a belicoso/torpedo shape.  Some smokers I know get snazzy and cut two punches on the sides of the tapered head.  It seems you would have to put a lot of the cigar in your mouth to obtain a proper puff, that's just not my style. I use a straight guillotine cut on torpedo shapes.

I admit I cut off more than I prefer, while trying to simultaneously take a photo ;-P Usually at first I like to cut smaller than that, then see if the draw is open enough. If it isn't, I will cut a little more.  A smaller opening to a cigar, while having an open draw, is my ideal.

At the beginning of the smoke, the flavor profile provides a lot of cedar on the forefront, it is a sweet woody note. The other main nuance is black pepper that can hit the back of the throat. The Whore also produces a nice chocolate and floral finish. I am really digging it. The first few puffs I was a little worried, it had a very one dimensional pepper and dark wood taste. This was before letting it mellow for a minute or so after lighting.  Maybe I flamed the Whore a little too fast out of excitement. She is spicy!

{cheers!}  ;-D

About a third of the way into the Tat "W", the cedar that was on the forefront rapidly changes into a nice nutty, almost cashew type note with light caramel. I love that it transitioned from the cedar to the nice mellow nutty flavors. Cedar, or oak, is a common cigar flavor, however not usually my favorite. The perfume, or floral note is still there on the finish, pretty fitting.

(I think I use too many commas when I write...sorry, ADHD)

The Whore's construction is perfect.  Her big white ash holds nicely.  (you have a dirty mind).
When the ash hits the floor, the cherry is a perfect cone.
This is typically the result of good construction, and more so the cigar smoker puffing at the proper rate.

Getting towards the last part of the Tat "W", it is as good as it has been...the cedar seems to come back from time to time, replacing the nice cashew, but then it switches again.  It still has the same cocoa, pepper, and nice floral finish. The floral/perfume nuance stays throughout, which is quite nice.  The Whore is complex, not boring. She provides plenty of different action throughout the smoking session. I find the body was medium-full, but not overpowering.

All in all I really enjoyed The Tatuaje "W".  The name was fun, lovely band art, perfect construction, great balance with interesting and tasty flavors. The smoke time was around an hour and 20 minutes, I didn't have to re-light a single time. I would recommend The Tatuaje Whore to any smoker. I am going to try and get my hands on a few more.

Original. Review of cigar. I will folow you.

Hey thank you, I appreciate your comment. I am not the most wordy or refined person, and refrain from trying to be by making stuff up when it wouldn't be authentic. Eventually someone will come along on Steemit who can do it much better.., but for now I will just review my love of cigars as I can!

Haha, now that is a great cigar name.

Indeed I agree!
