Much like a brewer has hops to give beer it’s unique character, flavour – cider, desert and cooking apples, and nothing else are used in fermenting the juice into traditional cider

These apples vary in sugar, acidity, and tannin content. It’s up to the cider maker to blend the right juices to make an award winning cider.

Cider making at home on a small scale – is the simple process of crushing the fruit, storing in clean containers and waiting (that’s the hard bit).
