Chrome will no longer support windows 7 and 8.1

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft stops mainstream support for win7.

From January 10, 2023, Microsoft will no longer provide security update programs or technical support for windows 8.1.

With that, more and more applications are also starting to announce that they are dropping support for the platform.

Chrome says it will officially end support for windows 7 and 8.1 after the release of Chrome 110 (tentatively scheduled for February 27, 2023).

Based on Microsoft's cessation of mainstream support for windows 7 (windows 8.1 ceased mainstream support on January 10, 2023), security update programs are no longer available, resulting in the platform being vulnerable to hackers, and numerous programs abandoning support for the platform for user security reasons.
Chrome official said it does not affect the user to continue to use the old version of the software on windows 7 and 8.1.
