WOW! Beautiful scenery! I love the reflection on the water and that floating tree! Good finding and great shot! ;)

Stay posted, more Christmas trees coming soon ( :

WOW! I'm looking forward to seeing the Christmas trees with much interest! ;)

The adjective that popped into mind when I set my eyes upon this shot was forlorn. What a sad, solitary little post-Christmas piece of festivity.

Your challenge pics are spectacular!

That is very nice to hear, thank you muchly on the pic thing. Especially coming from the Kat Behind The Dat (as in All-Dat.)
This is a sad little tree. I like that, forlorn. Great description. What's even MORE sad, is I took it a day or two ago. "Come on, People, it's almost Christmas again". There's a pretty good chance you will see more of it and some other relatives soon. As soon as I get off my creative betookus...
Think your already turned in, but subliminally, have a most wondrous night (of sleep). Yours in the Steem, d

Ah! My friend, I have so many replies of yours that I need and want to respond too! There are things that I want to talk about, forlorn trees, evergreen relatives, and all manner of potential fritterlicious convo! Alas, I have been ran off of my feet today, have a class to teach tomorrow, and feel rather like a rampant overly frantic ferret! ARGH! I will try to catch up on our correspondence tomorrow night, after much in the sleep (hoepfully) department! Hope you had a lovely evening!

Please, no worries there dear friend, I know how busy you are. No need to respond to them all. I just get going and going and going and going like the little pink bunny with the base drum sometimes. Just send one reply, with a root cause branching-thing reply stream combinational target epicenter typecasting writenote...or something similar in nature, to whatever in the world that is... ( :
PS. Make sure you get ample sleep. It's SO important.

I am thinking it might be due to exhaustion, but this might be one of my all time favorite dd'isms of all time! LOL I can't quit giggling, and if I had any creative energy left I would ramble off something clever, but as I taught a class full of ladies how to distill hydrosol and make lotion today, I think I am going to hit the dried grass instead. You make my light shining rotational hours my friend, heh, I will be talking you laters home skillet! LOL

So glad I can make you giggle... NOW GO GO BED ( :

Kind of a sadness about the shot...

Just a heads up, you may have been slandered, or libeled, or at least mentioned in my post here ;) https://steemit.com/monochromemonday/@old-guy-photos/monochrome-monday-madness

My legal team of Slap, Slander, Besmirch and Malign are on it as we speak. Expect a knock on the door from guys in faded plaid, 1970's big-V collar, too-short in the sleeve leisure suits from Goodwill at any moment. Sorry we can't give you an exact time, the buses run a bit late now and then. Quick heads up...they may need to borrow a pen when they get there. And a yellow legal pad? But they're a real sharp bunch, so watch out.

With as much seriousness as I may muster forth on a day such as this, I agree, there is a bit of sadness to the shot. And the dorks that dropped it there too. Might stay tuned for more on that sort of (continuous) thing ( :

I am now headed over to read the no-doubt wondrous article above by the one and only @old-guy-photos.

So haunting and forlorn. Poor tree :0)

It is sad testament to the end of a season. And even sadder testament to the lazy [insert your own expletive here] all over my fair city. More to come, I'm sure, on several scales ( :

It is coming up for that special time!!

The needles are still on that tree. That means that it's pretty recent in that pond -- and it's November. That's last year's tree! The holiday season never ends in your area, does it? LOL! How many posts did you do about the Christmas tree disposal practices in your area? It would be nice to see a recap of those, just in time for this year's holiday preparations! ; )

The recap is a great idea. Think I did about 3?? I am going to make this one famous soon, when I can get to it. Can't believe they keep showing up either. Like you said, monthly carbon needle dating puts it at 2016...so it was stashed and dashed more recently. Will the madness ever cease? (Let's hope not for posting sake O : ).

I almost feel a little sad for the little tree in the water but its a fantastic shot!

Thank you. It's a dove-tail to a series I did this past winter. The great Christmas tree toss: people getting rid of their trees after the holiday scene is over. This one showed up recently, as unbelievable as it may seem.

What a sad ending to a tree, having a whole life ahead I finish as an object of Christmas decoration, without thinking that I would have this sad end.
However you gave a good tribute with this excellent photo dear friend @ddschteinn
I wish you a wonderful evening

Thanks, it is a sad ending for the little evergreen. I guess all good things must come to an end. "But do you have to throw it in the pond, people"? Have a nice night, must be late there....

Is that a christmas tree ? Great shot - dramaturgy adds water ;)

Yes, it is, actually...I did a whole series on The Holiday Tree Toss awhile back. This is another that just showed up. Hopefully there will be more posts ( :
