Christmas shopping in Hungary...

in #christmas2 years ago

If you had to do some Christmas shopping in Hungary, where would you do it? Would you visit a traditional shopping mall and buy stuff in stores such as Zara, H&M, Springfield, and Lindt, or would you go to a Christmas market instead and buy all sorts of good made by locals? Maybe you would buy some handmade chocolate produced in Hungary that you cannot find it stores, or maybe some pralines specially made with luxurious filling on the inside?

It is important to notice, that even though the Christmas markets are supposed to be local markets, they aren't necessarily cheaper. Why is that? The goods that you buy at a Christmas market aren't mass produced in factories. Instead, they are often made by hand by real people, which means that the price of actually producing the products is much higher.

But, do you really care about that? Do you just see the value in how much you spend and how much is left in your wallet afterward, or do you see and feel real value in the fact that the product has been handmade?

Today, we published an article about the Christmas markets in Gyor in the Budapest Guide. It is a quite interesting article, because it also speaks about what the Christmas markets are like outside Budapest. Is there a price difference between the Christmas markets in Budapest and those elsewhere in the country?

Have you read the article? Would you like to visit Gyor and take a look at the Christmas markets yourself? It isn't very hard. It is half-way between Vienna and Budapest. In other words, you can easily pay it a visit on your way from Vienna to Budapest or while traveling from Budapest to Vienna.

If you are real hardcore, then you can also do an ultimate Christmas shopping day as you visit the Christmas markets in Budapest, Vienna, and Gyor at the same time.

The question then is where you should finish the trip. That is a crucial question because that will most likely be the place you will find to be the most beautiful. Why is that? The Christmas markets feel and look so much more special when it is dark. That is due to the illumination of the markets and the surroundings, so if you see the Christmas markets in Budapest by night while seeing the markets in Vienna by day, I believe you will find Budapest to be more beautiful.
