1.The Echo of the Future: New Echo Show

Because now Alexa can actually show you how to do things instead of just telling you! Watch your video flash briefings, listen to music or watch videos, enjoy hands free face-to-face calling, hook it up to your home security cameras or monitoring systems and simply ask Alexa to “show you the front door” to see who’s there. It can basically do everything that your first echo could do, but now way more!

2.The Future of Life: Best Selling 2017 Samsung Gear VR Headset with Controller

Lightweight, easy to use touch pad, and won’t break the bank! Get ready to live that virtual life, play games, and so much more.

3.The Best Siri Replacement: The New Amazon Echo

Deuces Siri. Hello Alexa! The closest thing we have to living Star Trek to date. Hands-free, ask Alexa anything and she’ll answer. Find out the weather, traffic, how old Adele is, turn your lights on and off with just a voice command, play Jeopardy and more! Plus listen to music because, music. Available in several different styles.

4.For the Techie on the Go (Literally) – OjO Smart Electric Commuter Scooter for Adults

I mean how cool is this!? Sleek AF in graphite grey, this smart scooter tops speeds of 20 mph, can reach distances of 25 miles on a single full charge, is bike-lane friendly, and no license is needed. You’ll be off to work in no time and will turn heads at the same time.

5.‘Google Home’ Voice Activated Speaker

Because you just may be over Alexa and want to try something new. Google Home pretty much rocks because Google can basically help you with anything. I mean, they do online so why not in your home!? It can play your favorite music, answer a zillion questions (in a nice voice), can play some games, help organize your day and can actually recognize up to 6 different Google accounts based on your voice signature. So cool!

Health Tech Gift

Yup, it's that time of year again. It comes around fast, huh? Can you even bring yourself to say it; the dreaded C word? Christmas - there, I said it. If you're anything like me - you'll be far from ready to begin thinking about what gifts to buy people this year.

Well, for those health-conscious or fitness fanatics in your life, I've put together a list of my favorite health-related gadgets to help you choose, and give you an idea of the types of presents you could get them for December 25th.

Your loved ones not really into health and fitness? Well, one way you could look at it, is rather than shower then with traditional unhealthy treats such as chocolate, why not look into healthier alternatives? Give them something that will essentially improve their lives, instead!

Not convinced? Whether the special people in your life are fitness freaks or not, have a gander below - there's bound to be something in here for them (or even yourself). Here's my rundown of the essential Xmas health gifts for the tech lovers out there.

PowerDot
Using electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to activate your muscle fibers so you can get stronger and recover faster, the PowerDot works via a simple app on your phone, which lets you control your workouts. You select the muscle groups you want to target and an impulse is sent to the pods that causes your muscles to activate.

The feeling PowerDot creates as it stimulates your muscles is a little bizarre and can be somewhat intense depending on the settings you chose, but you quickly get used to it. It really does feel like it's doing something positive to your muscles, whether that's the case or not remains to be seen (I haven't been using it for too long yet) but my body does feel like I've worked out harder the next day. It's also compact enough to take on travels with you if you're worried you'll be missing some workouts while on holiday or work trip; a great gift for the fitness freak in your life.

Jaybird Run earphones

I’ve tried plenty of wireless "sports" earphones, but what has always surprised me is that most of them just aren't really that comfortable, and quite shockingly, aren't well designed for exercise. In most cases, wireless sports headphones are bulky, and in my experience, a chunky or heavy set of earphones do not bode well for active pursuits, as any kind of strong movement usually means they just fall out.

But JayBird's latest pair of fitness buds, the JayBird Run earphones, are quite the opposite. Not only do they have no wires connecting the two ear pieces to give you more freedom, but they actually stay there. They are also one of the most comfortable sports earphones I've ever worn, even more so than the Jabra Elite Sport, which I also like. Sound quality is also superb, and best of all they are loud if you need them to be. (Something that many earphones suffer from these days, I think.) These earphones are by far my favorite for any type of activities; they have it all.
.
Philips 9000 series 4K OLED TV with Ambilight tech
Okay, so you might be wondering why there's a TV in a "health tech" gift guide, but let's not kid ourselves. Most of us own a TV, it doesn't mean we are couch potatoes though, right? Precisely. The whole point of a TV is to help us wind down after a stressful day at work, or a tough workout at the gym. Well, Philips' latest range of razor thin OLED TVs are the best out there for doing just that.

Boasting a unique Ambilight technology, Philips' new 9000 series not only make your screen feel much wider, but they make your viewing experience feel way more immersive thanks to the LEDs that line the edges of the screen, emitting vivid colors as an extension of what's happening on screen, subtly illuminating the surrounding walls and giving your living room a nice, relaxing glow.
.
Oral B Genius 9000S electric toothbrush
As any decent dentist will tell you, electric toothbrushes are the best for keeping your nashes in good tick. But what's the best toothbrush out there for the job, because let's face it, there's a lot. One of my favorites, mainly due to the pure innovation involved. The Oral-B Genius 9000S is a bit different to your average because it connects to the Oral-B app on your phone via Bluetooth and guides you through an "intelligent brushing system" to help you clean your teeth like your dentist would want you to.

For those days you don't have time to start firing up the app, the toothbrush itself also helps you protect your delicate gums with a SmartRing and pressure control tech alerts you if you're brushing too hard with a bright red danger light, and reduces brushing speed. The 9000S also lats 12 days on a single charge and comes with a compact travel case, making it idea for taking on holiday with you.
.
Shark DuoClean Cordless vacuum
A clean house is a healthy house, right? And how best to keep it this way than with a good quality vacuum cleaner. If you're in the market for a new one, but need something high-tech, portable and multi-purpose, then it has to be the Shark DuoClean Cordless vacuum. This nifty little sucker can tackle almost any suction job and thanks to its DuoClean Technology, which features a double brushroll design, it can work to remove large, small and stuck on messes from carpets and hard floors. Then there's its Flexology' tech, which means it can reach hard-to-reach areas, anywhere in your home.

The Shark DuoClean also converts to a Handvac so you can get in the deepest nook and crannies, from stairs to surfaces to soft furnishings. If you need something that can tackle anything but not take up half of your store cupboard, you've got to give this a go.
