Merry Christmas. A.D. is not after death.

in #christmas7 years ago

Merry Christmas everyone of 2,017 years of our Lord in the flesh. My message in one of my churches I frequent: no matter what religion you follow, most of us, worldwide, honor the year of Jesus. We all have come to agree, it's the year 2017. Did you know that A.D. doesn't mean after death? If it did, there would be a 33.5yr gap in our history. It is commonly thought that B.C. stands for “before Christ” and A.D. stands for “after death.” This is only half correct. How could the year 1 B.C. have been “before Christ” and A.D. 1 been “after death”? B.C. does stand for “before Christ.” A.D. actually stands for the Latin phrase anno domini, which means “in the year of our Lord.” The B.C./A.D. dating system is not taught in the Bible. It actually was not fully implemented and accepted until several centuries after Jesus’ death. And now you have the rest of the story.........Good day! Miss Paul Harvey.
