December 15th - the power of music.
Its amazing how uplifting music rejuvinates the soul.
How about a little music therapy this holidays...
Not just the tinseled up versions we hear at the store, even though those are "nice"...
...but the deep moving ones, without any distractions.
I love the way it makes me feel deep down inside.
This is the fifthteenth way of serving in 25 ways over 25 days leading up to Christmas.
Its easy:
- watch the short clip
- follow the instructions
- make it happen
- then tweet or otherwise share your results using... #lighttheworld... encourage others to participate
- 25 days is enough consistency to form a new habit...
If every day this December we are slightly more mindful of others we may find ourselves with a new great habit to continue into the new year and beyond.
THREE SIMPLE WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
- Listen to Christmas hymns for an entire day.
- Share your favorite performance of a Christmas hymn on social media.
- Invite a friend to attend a Christmas Day worship service to sing hymns and worship God.
OTHER WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
- Do some Christmas caroling over video chat.
- Learn a new Christmas hymn. Here’s a classic.
- Watch the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing the “Hallelujah Chorus” with the world’s largest virtual choir.
- Make a Christmas playlist and share it.
- Include a musical program with your Christmas Eve festivities.
- Go Christmas caroling to the widows, widowers, and lonely in your neighborhood or church congregation.
