The first Steemit Christmas and I wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope you all are having a better Christmas than I am. I would say I'm having one of the worst holidays ever, but there's more to come.
At least I'm not having a shitty Christmas like these people who were mistakenly raided and handcuffed on Thursday 12/23/2016. During a supposed "search" for a suspect, one of the officer's took a couple snapchats and those photos was released online. This is a terrible abuse of power and during the holidays?
There are far more worse stories you will hear during the holidays and sometimes we need to take a step back and remember what we fought for to have the type of human rights we have today. Now that doesn't mean all the human rights we have are correct but it was far worse in the past and we have made improvements. The problems have evolved but we still fight for the same things today.
We are all in different situations and even though they say Christmas is the time for giving and family, it is also time to reflect back on the year and make changes for the next.
