Merry Christmas Steemians!

My Christmas present came early in the form of my daughter. She made the trip up to the mountains on Friday afternoon and brought Christmas cheer to the house.

I've been so busy with Steemit that I haven't had much time to prepare for Christmas, I did buy the majority of the presents at the start of December but that was it, aside from that we had virtually zero Christmas cheer until she came over.

Oh Christmas Tree 🎄

Hubby and I have had this Tree for a long time. It's our first Christmas tree and the best $6 we ever spent.

She was not too small not too big and was sparkly, which at the time, was all I needed.

I also had a collection of Christmas decorations that we've had as long as the tree.

Here is my girl sorting them out.

She's OCD like me.

My usual tree style is rainbow. I like to use all the colours. This year I left the tree design with her.

And I gotta say, I love her colour selection.

While she was busy with the tree I thought why not put the tinsel up.

Looked over and saw the rainbow gene took over. It runs rampant in my blood.

Ohh wait. Course correction!

And here she is 😍😍 I think she did an amazing job! I don't ever remember the tree looking this good.

Looking forward to new traditions.

Next year will be the first year Hubby and I will have our own home and with that, I hope, the beginning of new traditions and definitely time for a new bigger tree.

Christmas has always been a sad time for me not having my daughter ever on the day and to have her here even for a little while is the best present ever.

Times like these you really realise treasured moments are far more valuable than fiat and crypto.
