Do Not Be Anxious

The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety." It has also been said, "Worry is unbelief in disguise."
The opposite of boldness is fear or anxiety. It's not surprising then that God not only calls us to be bold, but he also makes a provision for us to get rid of our fear and anxiety. Today's text is not a direct call to boldness. It's a call not to be anxious.

Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)

According to Paul, our prayers ought to be filled with thanksgiving and gratitude. God answers these kinds of prayers with his peace. When we trust God with every care and concern, he invades us with divine peace. It's the kind of peace we can't understand, but it protects our hearts and minds--from anxiety. Take a moment to recognize your anxiety for what it really is--a symptom of unbelief. Turn to God in prayer "Papa thanku for taking away every burden. I come to u with all that is in me n lay my burdens at ur feet. I trust you completely Jesus Amen 20171028_221004.jpg
