Ponder on it as a christian.

Some thing really bothers me so much, and this is it below;

It is been said that the wages of SIN is death.
But it did not say " the wages of God is eternal life"
Now it says " the gift of God (righteousness) is eternal life".

Wages are what we get out of whatever we do, so whenever we sin, we get paid.

But as for RIGHTEOUSNESS,

Does it mean that RIGHTEOUSNESS is not a product of ourselves but actually a GIFT from God. If yes then why so we struggle to become righteous.

To be a child of God or to be righteous, then we do not need any actions our actions are futile and useless.
