Authentic Friendship = Evangelism

I saw a religious magazine during a recent visit with my parents.

One of the articles was entitled, 'Authentic Friendship = Evangelism.'

And I was reminded of a leadership expression I'd learned a few decades back:

People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.

And what do they want to know you care about? Them.

How do you show love to others?

You may be eager to talk to someone about a relationship with Jesus; just remember it begins with a relationship with you.

Are you talking to people about how great Jesus is, or are you showing them by listening with love and compassion?

Are you telling people you'll pray for them when an uncomfortable conversation comes up, or are you asking, 'What was that like for you, and how may I be of service?'

And regardless of what you're doing or how you're doing it, who are your authentic friends who will love you no matter how it turns out?
