The Way Nigerians Practice Christianity With Ignorance
The way of life which is called "Christianity" today is under threats in Nigeria due tomorrow to the way it's practised. However, Christianity is practised in awkward, outlandish and ridiculous manner by Nigerians as a result of some negative attitudes of believers such as ignorance, shortsightedndess, illogical reasoning, poverty, over-spirituality, foolishness, etc.
In this article, I'm going to discuss how ignorance thrives among Nigerian Christians.
1. Shouting at odd hour
Nothing is as annoying as when you return late and exhausted from work and decide to sleep for a few hour sleep before preparing for work the next morning and bam! There comes someone shouting at the top of his or her voice and call it evangelism. Disturbing other people at their quiet time and depriving them of sleep at odd hour is not an evangelism but nuisance and stupidity but anyone who frowns against this inconvenience caused by these people is labeled an antichrist.
Public nuisance like this is not allowed in civilized countries that practise the same religion.
2. Worshiping their Pastors
Some Christians do not worship God but their pastors. They see them are perfect people that can barely make mistakes. When you disagree with their theories, you are told to shut your mouth because you can't know more than them. This has turned some religious leaders to robbing members to live luxurious life because due the fact that Nigerian pastors are the most flamboyant and financially successful in the world.
The people's gullibility has created an avenue for a lot of charlatans parading as "men of God" to swindle the poor of their meagre resources just to live drive luxurious cars, travel to the most exotic holiday destinations with their families while the people who member are wallowing in poverty. This is how some acclaimed men of God use the member's ignorance to swindle money from them.
3. Wearing of trouser
Most themes of Christianity today weren't held in mind by the initial practitioners. Every new era tweaks its own form and fleshes another take on the story.
The issue of whether a woman should be allowed to wear trouser or not has has been a controversial debate for centuries even though there is no biblical law that specifically talks about who should wear a skirt or trouser except a portion of the Bible (Deuteronomy 22:5) that admonishes us not to live as a transvestite and this has to do with more than just clothing, but a life that in every way emulates the opposite sex. It's believed in Nigeria that ladies who wear trouser are meant to be thrown into the lake of fire .
4. Over-spirituality
People many die due to lack of medical care. A person who was diagnosed of cancer will be going to the church to seek healing from the pastor just because he has been told it's a sin to seek medical attention from a medical practitioner instead of going to proper medical care. This is the rate at which ignorance thrives among Nigerian Christians and that's how some of them die unexpectedly
5. Attributing every misfortune to witchcrafts
People believe so much in witches and wizards even more than they believe in God. Religious folks are very fond of attributing anything that have no explanation for as witchcraft. For example, when a students fails an exam due to lack of preparation, he blame the devil for it. When accident occurs due to lack of safety precautions, it's usually the plan of witches and wizards for their their lives. The worst of all is that some innocent people are even accused of being witches and are stoned to death
These are the ways Christianity is wrongly practiced by SOME Nigerians

There is no sane way to practice Christianity, it's all bat-shit-crazy. People in the Bible belt in the USA have similar issues, IE not seeking medical attention and instead having a pastor heal them by touching their forehead etc.
Oooooh! I never knew such a thing also happens in the US
Anyway, thanks for taking your time to read my article
thanks
