SPEAK THE TESTIMONY!!!
Revelation 12:11
Easy English: But our brothers and sisters beat him. Because the Lamb died and his blood came out. They beat the Devil because they spoke what is true. They were ready to die. They refused to stop saying what God has done for them.
Beloved in Christ, I believe that you've had, have & will have testimony(ies). Glory to God!! But how many of them have you spoken for others to hear that they may be built up in faith too. You may have heard or still hear people say that,
"Church, I've got a testimony... but I'll like to sing about it to glorify God".....hmmm.
I specifically chose the "Easy English Translation" for such ones. Please, Christ wants you to share/speak/say the testimony in words; _don't just sing about it!!!. This is not to create the impression that singing about a testimony is bad..NO! It's good but either the one testifying with it does not want the congregation to know exactly what the Lord has done or he or she is shy & does not want anyone to know that he/she has gone through that hardship too.
Maybe he/she is merely proud or genuinely can't say it all before people, (especially our ladies) but at least try to say it in brief.
It is even better if a song about the testimony is sang before/after its sharing in words. Imagine if after struggling to write a song someone opts to help produce & make it sell...then you go like He paid the debt, He did not owe..."_ without telling what debt "He" paid, how do you expect one in need of a GH¢5 fare to be edified?? Afterall who (Christian or not) doesn't know that Christ paid for debts He didn't owe, erh?? You sing about salvation but never reach out to souls with the Word, why do you do that? How can an unbeliever surrender all unto the Lord Jesus Christ whom he/she neither knows nor believes in?
Songs should either precede your word of testimony or come after it, if there's enough time.
In short & if time's far spent, THE WORD OF TESTIMONY IS THE ULTIMATE!
Now with reference to the scripture above, your testimony should be about what is true, (that is our victory over the devil by the blood of Jesus), and what God has done. This means testimony time is not intercessory, petition, prayer request time. If u want to present any of these as a testimony, learn to fit it (through thanksgiving) into what God has done. That's faith!
If you have ears, hear what the Spirit is saying to you.

I never knew about how great a song is if it preceeds a testimony...a good song l guess!!music itself has a power that acts even in the absence of words..moreso l believe good testimonies make God so proud and He is eager to bless us the more when and if we tell the world what Hes done...Help me here @tj4real ...aint we being in a way hipocrate when we always want men to see what God has done??? Or the way we give testimonies can make it sound really bad....am glad you shared this..upped

indeed testimony is powerful and is even a weapon of warfare according to Rev 12:11 (they over came him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their Testimony. thank you for the reminder sir, God bless you.
