Problems of Christianity (0003), Acts 10-11 against Matthew 28

in #christianity5 years ago (edited)

In Acts 11, when circumcised believers learned that Peter spent time with uncircumcised men and ate with them, they opposed Peter when Peter went to Jerusalem, they criticized his dealing with Gentiles.

Now, pause..

Remember Matthew 28:19. It says:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,”

Tell me if Jesus told the apostles these words, how come circumcised believers were judging Peter’s dealings with uncircumcised Gentiles? The whole contradiction proves this, one of the contradicting passages is fiction. Either this or that part was forged.

All the contradictions in the Bible prove that there are many forged parts in the book. You should understand, in Acts 10 and Acts 11 Peter and other Christians act like Jesus never said what he said in Matthew 28 about preaching universally to every person circumcised and Gentile alike. This tells us that authors of the Bible wrote fictions without checking carefully what the other authors wrote.

Sort:

It's not a contradiction and none of it was forged. It simply points out that not everybody accepted the truth.

When you are not willing to face that there are contradicting passages in the Bible, you will always try to justify what is problematic.
