If find stupid to insert in the body a piece of electronic that will get obsolete. Then what? Removing it and replacing it with the latest?
By wearing it, it can at least be replaced without disturbances.

Oh, on the point of it becoming obsolete, Lucifer only has to make it last 7 years (Long enough to get thru "The Great Tribulation").
I don't think you have to worry too much about RFID implants. As I told you, the idea itself is dumb.
And if you think about it, biometrics is way easier to implant to get a single tracking identifiers. From breathing rhythm to dna profiles.
Have you seen the evolution of medicine chips? like birth control long term releasing chips? Quite brutal if forced on people under what ever goals.
What's your plan against nanochips? Have you seen the last Alien?
