My Favorite Verses and Reminders From Every Book of the Bible

Think in terms of Multiplication — Genesis 1:28 — Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Think about Noah during the building process — Genesis 5:29 — And he called his name Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.”

Do not worry about critics — Exodus 15:10 — “You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters.”

Be distinct — Exodus 33:16 — “ For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”

Scale — Leviticus 26:8 — “ Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.”

Be convincing — Numbers 13:30 — Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

Be powerful — Deuteronomy 8:18 — “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

Prepare for supernatural blessings — Deuteronomy 28:1–2 — “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God”

Have second scale thinking; scale-on-scale — Deuteronomy 32:30 — “How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had surrendered them?”

Be strong — Joshua 1:7 — “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.”

Be valiant — Judges 6:12 — And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

Be committed — Ruth 1:17—”Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”

Get up early to take out giants— 1 Samuel 17:20— So David rose early in the morning, left the sheep with a keeper, and took the things and went as Jesse had commanded him. And he came to the camp as the army was going out to the fight and shouting for the battle.

Avoid complacency—2 Samuel 10:18—Then the Syrians fled before Israel; and David killed seven hundred charioteers and forty thousand horsemen of the Syrians, and struck Shobach the commander of their army, who died there.

Prove it — 1 Kings 2:2—“I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man.

Fear God, not people—2 Kings 17:39—But the Lord your God you shall fear; and He will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.”

Think now—1 Chronicles 28:10—Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.”

Picture a 3-day harvest—2 Chronicles 20:25—When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, they found among them an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies, and precious jewelry, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away; and they were three days gathering the spoil because there was so much.

Take responsibility—Ezra 10:4—Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also are with you. Be of good courage, and do it. ”

Be prepared with proper resources—Nehemiah 4:18—Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me.

Have a win-or-die attitude—Esther 4:16—“Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”

Have proper and extreme preparation—Job 38:3—Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.

Have extreme faith—Psalm 2:8—Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.

Rise up—Psalm 94:16—Rise and stand: Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Be committed—Proverbs 16:3—Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

Think about heritage—Ecclesiastes 5:18–19—Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage. As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor — this is the gift of God.

Word— Song of Solomon 2:1—I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.

Promise focused—Isaiah 60:5—Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

Keep high-level thinking—Jeremiah 33:3—‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Get Godly knowledge and wisdom—Lamentations 3:23–24—They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

Be prepared to stand in the gap—Ezekiel 22:30 — So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

Have a spirit of excellence—Daniel 6:3—Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.

Become knowledgeable—Hosea 4:6—My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Have transformational thinking and actions—Joel 3:10—Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’”

Partner properly—Amos 3:3—Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

Seek holiness — Obadiah 1:17—“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”

Be non-violent—Jonah 4:4—Then the Lord said, “ Is it right for you to be angry?”

Know true freedom—Micah 7:19—He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Remember the true source of power—Nahum 1:5—The mountains quake before Him, the hills melt, and the earth heaves at His presence, yes, the world and all who dwell in it.

Have a written plan—Habakkuk 2:2—Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.

Have strength physically—Zephaniah 3:16—In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: “Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak.

Prepare for blessings—Haggai 2:19—Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.’”

Have unwavering hope for the miraculous—Zechariah 9:12—Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.

Honor spiritual leaders—Malachi 2:7—“For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the law from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.

Obsessed: Life verse—Matthew 5:16—Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Be a follower of Christ first—Matthew 6:33 — But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Think Multiplication and Salvation—Mark 4:20—But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.

Take risks—Luke 5:4—When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

Know, don’t just believe—John 8:31–32—Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Have serious enjoyment—Acts 8:8 — And there was great joy in that city.

Remember critics are there to move you higher—Acts 13:41 — “ ‘Behold, you despisers, marvel and perish! For I work a work in your days, a work which you will by no means believe, though one were to declare it to you.’ ”

Seek mind improvement—Romans 12:1–2 — I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Walk in excellence that is beyond reproach—1 Corinthians 11:1—Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

Have genuine love—2 Corinthians 8:8 — I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.

Do not lose heart—Galatians 6:9—And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Have spiritual strength—Ephesians 6:17—And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

Have process-enjoyment—Philippians 4:4—Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Have proper focus—Colossians 3:2—Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Have proper attitude — 1 Thessalonians 5:18—in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Have persistence—2 Thessalonians 3:13—But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.

Have proper motives—1 Timothy 6:10—For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Have proper foundation—2 Timothy 3:16–17—All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Have beyond-reproach reminders—Titus 2:7–8—in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.

Have proper partnerships—Philemon 1:17—If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me.

Have proper intentions—Hebrews 4:12—For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Remember actions matter—James 1:22—But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Remind myself that I have a high calling—1 Peter 2:9—But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Remember this key objective—2 Peter 3:9—The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Keep a Christ-centered focus—1 John 2:6—He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

Maintain Christ-aligned thinking — 2 John 1:9—Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

Keep harmony in my life—3 John 1:2—Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Have powerful spiritual preparation—Jude 1:20—”But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit…”

Go all out — Revelation 3:15–19—“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ — and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked — I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
