Unfortunately Thousands Of Churches In Canada Will Soon Be Closed.
A third of all Catholic Churches in Canada will be forced to close over the next few years. This is sad news for many people.
There are millions of Catholics in Canada but an ever growing number of them are not regularly attending church.
Also many of these churches are in remote communities. These communities often have aging populations and it is difficult for many of the elderly parishioners to make it to church.
Catholics have had to deal with many scandals, and much of the criticism is well deserved, but the church is still seen as a very positive institution god so many people. Hopefully more people will attend church to try to reverse this unfortunate trend.
