THE NATURAL MAN

"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1Corinthians 2:14)

The natural man does not have redemption through the blood of Jesus. He has the fallen adamic nature. He is dead spiritually because he is cut off from Christ, the source of life. It is with the breath of life that God gave man a soul and spirit but the spirit lost spiritual relationship with God

Characteristics of the Natural Man

  • He lives in the fresh and control please God who is a Spirit
  • He can no longer understand spiritual things. There is a language barrier between his flesh and the spirit of God since spiritual things are expressed in spiritual language. (1 Corinthians 2:13)
  • He is in bondage and can not free himself (2Tim. 2:26)
  • He gradually become a slave of sin. Obeying the impulse of sin without any strength to resist it.

Some Saved Souls still share these Horrible conditions.

A Christian who genuinely gave his life to Christ and still live the way described above is said to be carnal. He endeavors to live by rules and will not give himself by faith to the Holy Spirit. The power of sin is still strong on him. Some of the try the good works approach to merit salvation.

The works of the flesh are obvious in them despite their show of high morality and religious lifestyle.

The natural man cannot have fellowship with the spiritual God.
