Religion has killed more people than anything else since the beginning of time. Thanks but no thanks. Do you not see the irony in the fact that all religions want to believe that "their God" is the only God?

What's also interesting is if you attempt to get a child baptized in a Christian or Catholic church. . The first thing they ask is, are you a member? . . The next thing they do is tell you how much it is gonna cost or what the recommended "donation" is. So much for What Would Jesus do, huh?
Organized religion is a bunch of horse-shit. Don't use the spirituality tag with these posts, because the spirituality that Jesus actually spoke about has been strongly misquoted and twisted to benefit people's pockets with MONEY. Christianity has nothing to do with spirituality. Been there, done that. . Please don't reply that you are gonna pray for me, because quite the contrary you are the one who needs some prayer my friend. Wish you luck Jew for Jesus. :)

Thank you for posting. I can understand your frustration and anger.
I agree with you that man-made religion fueled by greed has killed many people, so has atheistic communism. Mass killings occurred under Communist regimes during the twentieth century. The highest death tolls that have been documented in communist states occurred in the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin, in the People's Republic of China under Mao Zedong, and in Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge. In his summary of the estimates in the Black Book of Communism, Martin Malia suggested a death toll of between 85 and 100 million people.
For me, whether a person claims to be a Christian or an atheist, if the person is wicked and selfish desiring power, wealth, and notoriety, he or she is not following the teachings of Jesus.
Jesus not only spoke of loving God and loving your neighbor but even commanding us to love our enemies:
But to those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Luke 6:27-28
True Christians and Christian organizations like the Salvation Army are involved in helping the poor, the homeless, and the addicted.
