Midnight Devotion: The Road

PROVERBS 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding ; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight

I went to a powerplant near our place where there is a road going to the sea. As I arrived at the end of it, I saw the beautiful scenery of the beach and the sun as it set. Then suddenly I realized something about life. There are times the we are so worried about where the road of our life is going. Sometimes we tend to do things in our way that we forget God who is sovereign above all. God calls us to do something but we are so afraid to take the road that he paved for us. Maybe we are so pre occupied with thoughts that we cant do it or we wont be happy if we take that road. But God is a loving God. He wont let us take a road when he knows that we wont be happy. He aint just calling us but rather He is there with us all the time. As he promised us that he will never leave nor forsake us. May we always bear in mind that after the road where God is calling us comes the beautiful scenery of his glory. Godbless everyone and take courage where God is leading you.
