Dios nos consuela en todas nuestras tribulaciones, para que podamos también nosotros consolar. (2 Corintios 1:4)

A veces, este viaje por la vida puede ser tan difícil que nos sentimos abrumados, como si la oscuridad no tuviera fin. Pero Dios quiere que no nos olvidemos en la luz lo que estamos aprendiendo en la oscuridad.

Pablo les escribe el mismo concepto a los corintios (2 Corintios 1), después de describir las terribles dificultades que atravesaron él y su equipo en Asia Menor. El apóstol quería que entendieran que Dios puede rescatarnos aun en los momentos más oscuros. Dice que somos consolados para que, así, aprendamos a consolar a otros (v. 4). Con las pruebas, Dios estaba enseñándoles cosas a Pablo y sus colaboradores, para que pudieran consolar y orientar a los corintios al enfrentar dificultades similares. Y el Señor hace lo mismo con nosotros, si estamos dispuestos a escuchar: nos enseña a usar lo que hemos aprendido en la pruebas, para servir a los demás.

¿Estás en la oscuridad ahora? Que las palabras y la experiencia de Pablo te alienten. Confía en que Dios está dirigiendo tus pasos y grabando verdades en tu corazón para que las compartas con los que atraviesan circunstancias similares. Estuviste allí antes, y sabes cómo volver a casa.

God comforts us in all our tribulations, so that we too can comfort. (2 Corinthians 1: 4)

Sometimes, this journey through life can be so difficult that we feel overwhelmed, as if the darkness had no end. But God wants us not to forget in light what we are learning in the dark.

Paul writes the same concept to the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 1), after describing the terrible difficulties that he and his team in Asia Minor went through. The apostle wanted them to understand that God can rescue us even in the darkest moments. He says that we are comforted so that, in this way, we learn to console others (v. 4). With the tests, God was teaching things to Paul and his co-workers, so that they could comfort and guide the Corinthians in facing similar difficulties. And the Lord does the same with us, if we are willing to listen: he teaches us to use what we have learned in trials, to serve others.

Are you in the dark now? May the words and experience of Paul encourage you. Trust that God is directing your steps and recording truths in your heart so that you share them with those who go through similar circumstances. You were there before, and you know how to get home.
