Spiritual growth in Christianity means many things to many people, but one thing is sure everyone sooner or later desires to grow spiritually.

What is the best way to ensure rapid grow?
Luke 24:49
[49]And I myself will send upon you what my Father has promised. But you must wait in the city until the power from above comes down upon you.”
Why did Jesus recommend that the disciples wait for the promise of power be going out to do the work of God?
Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Jesus understood that the Holy Spirit is the water that causes spirit growth.
John 7:38-39
[38]whoever believes in me should drink. As the scripture says, ‘Streams of life-giving water will pour out from his side.’ ”
[39]Jesus said this about the Spirit, which those who believed in him were going to receive. At that time the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not been raised to glory.
So how do you receive the Holy Spirit?
Luk 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Simply Wait on the Lord in Prayer.

When you receive the holy spirit, your life will never be the same again.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11
[4]There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit gives them.
[5]There are different ways of serving, but the same Lord is served.
[6]There are different abilities to perform service, but the same God gives the ability to all for their particular service.
[7]The Spirit's presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all.
[8]The Spirit gives one person a message full of wisdom, while to another person the same Spirit gives a message full of knowledge.
[9]One and the same Spirit gives faith to one person, while to another person he gives the power to heal.
[10]The Spirit gives one person the power to work miracles; to another, the gift of speaking God's message; and to yet another, the ability to tell the difference between gifts that come from the Spirit and those that do not. To one person he gives the ability to speak in strange tongues, and to another, he gives the ability to explain what is said.
[11]But it is one and the same Spirit who does all this; as he wishes, he gives a different gift to each person.
Things simply change with the Holy Spirit. Though people may receive different gifts and no one is expected to have all the gifts of the spirit, everyone is expected to produce all the fruits of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23
[22]But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
[23]humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these.

So Jesus concludes that by their fruits you shall know them.
These are the fruits that prove we are spiritually mature. As we grow spiritually the fruits of the spirit are evident in our lives.
These are the milestones of growth.
If the spirit is present these things are also present in increasing measures.

1. Bible Study Becomes Easy!
John 16:12-13
[12]“I have much more to tell you, but now it would be too much for you to bear.
[13]When, however, the Spirit comes, who reveals the truth about God, he will lead you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own authority, but he will speak of what he hears and will tell you of things to come.
John 21:25
[25]Now, there are many other things that Jesus did. If they were all written down one by one, I suppose that the whole world could not hold the books that would be written.
2 John 1:12
[12]I have so much to tell you, but I would rather not do it with paper and ink; instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you personally, so that we shall be completely happy.
As the Bible comes to life for you others will notice it too. The Word of God From you will be easy to understand by those with sincere love for God.

Romans 8:26-27

[27]And God, who sees into our hearts, knows what the thought of the Spirit is; because the Spirit pleads with God on behalf of his people and in accordance with his will.
Just with The Word of God and Prayers Growth Is Sure To Follow.
So in concrete terms; What is the tip to rapid spiritual growth?
Make Time To Pray For The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit.
After Receiving The Holy Spirit, Make Time To Learn From The Holy Spirit.
Then Make Time To Grow In Fellowship And Union With The Holy Spirit.

You grow spiritually by engaging in spiritual disciplines. First though you must be saved. You must repent of your sins and accept what Jesus did on the cross as payment for those sins. You must also accept Jesus as Lord. If you accept Jesus as Lord then you'll do what the Bible commands. It's not enough to know that Jesus died for you. Salvation is a like a gift. It's not yours until you consciously accept it.
These are the spiritual disciplines necessary for spiritual growth:
You should pray everyday. Don't recite the prayers of others or the prayers in the Bible. Pour out your heart to God. I pray using the ACTS model of adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.
Read your Bible everyday. Read at least one chapter a day. Start in the New Testament in Matthew. Read the entire New Testament. Then read the Old Testament.
Go to a good Bible believing church where the pastor preaches from the Bible accurately. Attend regularly.
Learn to apply what you know to your life. Real spiritual growth comes from obedience.
I like to listen to scripture based Christian music. I listen to music that moves me emotionally and feeds me spiritually.
I also sometimes listen to Christian podcasts. My favorite is Thru the Bible. You can listen online or download the entire five year program for free at ttb.org.
