I Want Them to Know You (Poem)
Not my will, but Thine be done,
It’s You I want to please,
Jesus, God’s only begotten Son,
How precious You are to me.
You tell me to be of good cheer,
For the world You have overcome,
You tell me I have no need to fear,
For the victory You have won.
Though the world now hates me,
I know it hated You first,
Help me to return a blessing,
Each time I’m given a curse.
They can take the whole world,
I would rather have You,
However, truth be told,
I want them to know You, too.
I pray You open eyes to see,
That You are the King of Majesty,
You alone are the One True God,
And worthy of all glory, praise and laud.
