Let's examine ourselves today and Have a spirit-led day. Good morning.

You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Have you experienced so much in vain—if it really was in vain? So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Believing that made your heart respond to Jesus, not the law. He will work in you all that needs to be done by believing not by works. He will finish the good work if you believe and look to Him.
What’s the best way to deal with legalism in a church community? The place to begin is in your own heart. Recognize it as a serious distortion of the gospel, admitting to yourself and to God your continued desperate need for grace. Live that prayer daily and you will find your faith becoming more passionate and your life becoming more peaceful.
LORD, I want to lean forward into the gospel, living by its truth, growing into your likeness. Help me to learn how to depend on you more than I depend on myself. Amen
