God's Grace is a Restful Grace

Incomplete grace is not a real grace from God

Tired working
We often hear people praising God for an incomplete grace. What do I mean by incomplete grace? Let me give you an example to make it easier to understand my point.

Freelancer: Thanks God for these new projects. I'm so grateful. I can't believe I have so many new projects coming.
... after one week ...
Me: What happened to you? Why are you being this sick?
Freelancer: Well, I'm too busy, I have too many projects. Stress, lack of sleep, too much coffee and all nighters.

Have you or someone you know ever experienced that? It seems as if we need to exchange God's grace with something. It's as if, we need to exchange our health for new projects. As if, we need to exchange our family relationship for money. That is not true. Those are still God's graces, but incomplete ones, you are on the journey of the real God's grace in your life.

God's real grace is a "restful" grace

A Restful Grace
Do you remember the story of Joseph? The ups and downs of his life?

Up: Being one of the favourite child.
Down: Being sold as a slave
Up: Being the butler
Down: Thrown in jail
Up: Being another butler for the prison. Help interpret dreams.
Down: Being forgotten even after interpreting dreams correctly.
Up: Being called by the king, and be the right hand man

Are those small ups in his life aren't from God? Of course not. Those are still God's graces, however it's like God gave small graces along the way to help Joseph prepare for His real grace, to govern an entire nation.

And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God. (nkjv) Ecclesiastes 3:13

God's real grace is so large, larger than you and I can imagine. We don't need to exchange something for it. It's a grace, it's a gift, not a wage, it's freely given to us. So, if you received God's grace, but you feel that you need to exchange it with something, don't feel down. Keep working on it and don't forget to say thanks for God's grace in your life, you are in the process of receiving the real gift. God bless you!
