Using what God gave you. Pt 1

in #christianity7 years ago

God created you for a unique purpose and expects you to make the most of what you have been given. God deserves your best and your best life is what you should strive to live daily.

The Danish proverbs says: "What you are is God's gift to you; what you do to yourself is your gift to God."

God's plan for you is not for you to worry about yourself being who you are or trying to covet abilities you do not have. He wants you to focus on talents He has given you to use.
Attempting to serve in ways you are not created to comes out all wrong and wasteful, its like putting a square peg in a round hole.

Romans 12:2 says, "Since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ's body, let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be."
This means there are things you need to do to be able to use what God gave you to live the life He intended.

Accessing your gifts and abilities.- The Apostle Paul advised that you should "Try to have a sane estimate of your capabilities." You must take a honest look at yourself and pinpoint what you are good at. You can ask other people for their opinion about yourself, not for the purposes of a compliment, but for the truth.
Experiment with different areas of service so you are able to get an understanding of what those areas mean to you and how you fit in doing them.

You have dozens of hidden talents and gifts you don't know you have got because you never took time to try them out.

Seek out your heart and personality.- Sinking yourself into your heart and personality is one of the best ways to go about using what God gave you.
You can begin by first, making a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been assigned and then take your time to really sink yourself deep into it.

  • Ask yourself these questions:
    Who am I?
What do I enjoy doing most? What is that thing I do when I lose track of time?
Can I be classified as one who loves competing or cooperating?
Do I work better in a team or as an individual?
Am I an introvert or extrovert?

....to be continued in the next post.

As a Steemian, doing the above and answering these questions will help you understand what it is you are meant to be doing with what God gave you.
You will also be able to prioritize your time on this platform for great gains and impact.

Psychotherapists have a simple way of figuring out how to apply talents and abilities in life for the sake of serving others. You need to ask 4 questions:

What do you like? Write a list
What can you do? List
What do they pay for? List
What do people need? List

There must be at least one coincidence - this is your God's purpose.
Passion is the coincidence of the first two.
The second and third - career.
The first and last is a mission.
The last two are vocations.

Awesome . i will keep in touch

Thank you for the encouragement! Use what you have. The talents are with purpose.
