Devotional Today: Growing Together

Seedlings when planted all grow at different rates. Some grow faster than the others while some need special care and attention to sprout accordingly. The farmer or gardener takes responsibility for the plants because the plants cannot cater for themselves nor can they help or assist their fellow plants.
But for us, the story is different. Not only can we take care of our selves to ensure we grow but we can also reach out to our fellow brothers and sisters to support them as they try to stretch and grow. Paul encourages that we look out for the interest of others and not just ours alone. Let us seek to help one another attain greater heights, encouraging and applauding our efforts at growth no matter how little.
To grow together successfully, we have to see life beyond ourselves and our own interests; and also show sincere concern, love and care for one another. It is easier to get the top when we are doing it together.
Confession
In this season, I am intentional about seeing life beyond my sphere. I declare that I am reaching out to others in as many ways as possible to ensure they become better, wiser and stronger. I put others first with GOD's help in Jesus Name.
