Hard Choices

In 2 Chronicles ch 11 God stopped Rehoboam from pursuing Jeroboam and Israel when the kingdom split. This left Levites and godly people in an awkward place because their land was now in a kingdom separated from Jerusalem and the temple. Many of the Levites and godly people in Israel moved to Jerusalem to be near the temple.

Like these people, sometimes we have to make hard choices. When the Kingdom of God diverges radically from the social, political, and philosophical ways of those who claim our loyalty, can we pick up, move to Jerusalem and leave our ancient pastures behind?
