HAVING THE RIGHT MINDSET WHEN GIVING TO GOD..
St. Mark 4:8 "Still other seed fell on fertile soil and produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted." ,
"I always end up broke whenever i give to God" Nicholas thought to himself as he walked home from church, " I think i'll just stop this 'giving' thing altogether." He also said to himself. What Nicholas was ignorant of was that he failed to see positive results from his giving because he focused his attention on the cash he had to let go of rather than the benefits of giving to God which is a multiplied harvest of his seed!.
When you give to the Lord, you shouldn't do so with the mentality of loss; don't become a business man by "calculating" what you have left. For instance, if you had two hundreddollars, and you made up your mind to give God twenty dollars, don't start thinking, "But i'll have only one-eighty dollars left. That wont be sufficient to handle all my other expenses!" You could have a thirty-fold, sixty-fold, or even a hundred-fold return as the scripture above has said!. Now imagine that you had a two-hundred, and you gave twenty to the lord; thirty-fold of that would be six hundred. That's six hundred plus the one-eighty you had left, making seven-eighty!. That is the right mindset to have when giving to the Lord. It's also a demonstration of your faith that he is able to cause your seed to multiply.
That way you provoke the miracle-working ability of our God for a great harvest. Interestingly, the promise of a thirty-fold harvest is the least in the word: there's the sixty, as well as the hundred-fold harvest; it all depends on which one your faith can go all out for.
Someone might be thinking" what kind of calculation is that?" Its GOD'S KINGDOM MATHEMATICS! Its something real and praticable. It makes ones giving intresting and productive. Its the right mindset; train yourself today in it; be positive and expectant of a multiplied harvest of your seed when you give to our lord.
