Thanks for sharing dear friend @joshpeck

My pleasure :)

Joseph B. Lumpkin, in The Encyclopedia of Lost and Rejected Scriptures: The Pseudepigrapha and Apocrypha, raises some valid questions concerning The Book of Enoch. He asks, "If a book is mentioned or quoted in the Bible is it not worthy of further study? If it is worth investigating, is this the book of which the Bible speaks? What knowledge or insight does it add to our understanding of the Bible or the men who wrote it?"

Mr. Lumpkin has a really great introduction to the Book of Enoch that is very informative. This is not a book we should ignore. The Apostles knew of it. The 1st Century Jews knew of it. Y'shua knew of it. When one reads the Book of Enoch, they will begin to notice familiar themes and imagery. Sometimes we like to push back against the naysayers by saying, "I am not saying it's inspired or should be a part of the Canon." Actually, some of the early church fathers DID believe it to be inspired. Well, anyway Josh, there I go again writing a novel. I am preaching to the choir.

Thanks for posting brother! May our Heavenly Father richly bless you and keep His hand upon you!

Very interesting information, thank you

Josh, I wrote all that and never answered your question at the end. Metaphorical? No. Literal? Yes.

Interesting video, thanks for sharing. Best regards

My pleasure

Enoch is a fraudulent book. It wasn't written by the Enoch from the Bible. It was written between 100 BC and 200 BC. Because it's a fraudulent book there's no reason to read it.
