This is key to staying in fellowship with God.
The word 'confess' is 'homologeo' in the Greek meaning .....to cite, to name the sin. The unrighteousness is a reference to the unknown sins in the life which He, God the Father forgives us at the same time we name our known sin(s).
Keep short accounts.
Note...as taught by a pastor from the original language of the scripture.
