The powerful prayers

in #christianity6 years ago

While in primary school those good old days, when we're going on break we'll have to recite this popular prayer.

Some have food, but cannot eat
Some can eat but have no food
We have food and we can eat
Glory be to thee o'lord
AMEN!!!

It was going through my mind today on my way to the office how powerful the short prayer is.
some have food but cannot eat
This is not trying to make jest of the people that doesn't have food to eat, nor is it making fun of them.
some can eat but have no food
This is not also abusing them being poor, but thanking God for providing for us, not because we're righteous not because we're holy, but because of Gods love towards us.
We can't just explain more than the love He has for us.
we have food and we can eat
This is a double blessing, having food and also being able to eat at the same time, not that we can eat and don't have food or being able to eat and not having food.

This reminds me of the story of a man who was walking bare footed, he was complaining that he doesn't have shoes, while complaining he saw a crippled man, then he began to praise God when he saw he was better than the crippled man.

The crippled man said he doesn't need shoes, all he needs is feet, while complaining an ambulance carrying a dead man passed beside him. Immediately he started praising God that at least he's alive.
glory be to thee o Lord
AMEN!!!
We don't know how powerful our little prayers are until they are answered.

Let's keep on thanking God, no matter the situation we find ourselves.
